I thought the reason you don't see a lot of HKs in the stores is because the dollar isn't worth sh*t anymore. When they fixed the rate of the Euro compared to the Deutche Mark and the Euro became worth more than a dollar, suddenly our dollars became worth half of what they were when I was stationed in Germany.

Well, that sure didn't help any.

The good news is plastic is cheaper than steel so you don't need a P7 budget to get a USP. Used P7 are selling for what new ones used to. The plastic framed pistols are more reasonably priced.

The only BAD gun review I have ever seen was of the HK P7 , it was in Soldier of Fortune when the P7 first came out and the verdict was that the squeeze cocker was a POS. The last photo in the article was the reviewer (this was before Peter Kokalis joined the staff) throwing the gun over the berm  ;D

At the local gunshop here, Adventure Sports, they have a used P7, 2100 bucks I couldnt believe it. I have never shot one. I dont know what all the hype is about the gun, but you could get like 3 LCP's or even an Ed Brown executive carry brand new at that price. I guess people love these pistols, but like I said I dont get what is so great about them. I may sound like a dumba** rightnow and have no clue that I just compared two guns to something that has no comparison but I am just calling it like I see it.

I know we're off topic here, but the p7's were discontinued.  The hardcore p7 guys have pushed up the prices based on collectible value. That dealer might be a bit high, depending on which variant that pistol is, but some of them have been selling in that price range for a while.

I looked at a P7 in a shop about a year ago...just couldn't figure out why anyone would want to have the whole squeeze cocker thing going on...too weird.
It didn't seem like all that much of a gun either. I think they wanted about $1400 for it. From the sound of things, maybe I should have bought it to resell.

That said, I might be interested in parting with my Tactical...  Other projects, you know.  Make me an offer.  :)

Interesting...gotta see how the election goes and if I get a reprieve on buying a bunch of Christmas gifts this year.

Not very.  Memphis, TN.  All depends on how you define 'close'.   ;D

That's not too far.  On the way to see down to see my mother I usually go Paris, TX and Shreveport down...but I have been known to zip across Arkansas and down I-55....I grew up off the 4th I-55 exit from the South.
