Do you feel that the guilty verdicts against Mr. Kenney were correct?

Yes, Mr. Kenney is a cold, calculating SOB who was just looking for any reason to kill his neighbors.
Yes, according to legal definitions of murder 1 and murder 2 he was appropriately found guilty.
Yes, I feel that Mr. Kenney was guilty because he wore ugly glasses, his wife lived overseas, and he stacked his firewood too anal retentively.  There is/was something obviously wrong with the man.
No, Mr. Kenney should NOT have been fould guilty of murder, but rather perhaps some lesser charge like manslaughter.
No, he should NOT have been found guilty of any crime.  This looks like self-defense to me, even though the Dateline/NBC crowd would want you to believe otherwise.
Good grief!  I can't make heads or tails out of this story.  It has been so slanted or biased by NBC/Dateline AND there are so many huge holes and inconsistencies in this story I don't know who to believe.

Look I'll give you reasonable doubt on the guy with the sledge, however I do have a problem with the bullet in the back of the unarmed woman on the phone with the cops. Granted, there are no good guys here, these people were, as you said "bat shit crazy" with making mountains out of mole hills. The thing is though, there is no reason for Kenney to have ever left his house. When the crazy pissed off neighbor lady, whom you have just provoked by dropping a one ton boulder in her driveway starts banging on your door, a prudent person locks it, gets his gun and calls the cops (not in that order). He does not go out to confront her. You cannot tell me that move wasn't wasn't motivated by pure anger. As for rest, you have three pissed off people and the only record is the 911 call and the forensic evidence. This shows he gets a walk, with a warning on sledge hammer guy, but a bullet in the back of a woman talking to the cops is pretty damning evidence. Maybe not enough to convict because all I know is what was on the segment, but it is something to take very seriously.

On this other gun forum where I am having such a huge pissing contest about this case, another poster put up a link about the case.

I will have to find the link again.

But essentially, the prosecutor was seeking to have some DVD's entered in as evidence.  These DVD's were found in Mr. Kenney's house.  The DVD's were about hand to hand combat.

The prosecutor wanted to admit them as evidence to prove the Mr. Kenney has pre-meditation or malice aforethought.

To me, that is downright scarey.   :o

How many of us have gun related periodicals just sitting out, say like on the coffee table?

How many of us are into martial arts or knives?

What is next the "thought police"?

They already tried to make "Hate thought" a crime, We have laws regulating "Hate Speech" and "Hate Crimes", so yes, Thought Police probably are not that far off.

What was that a few weeks ago about Obama announcing preventative detention centers?

I think I saw one news commentator compare it to the Minority Report movie's pre-crime division.

Gotta go.  I'm heading to the kitchen to make me a tin foil hat.   :P   ;D
