SO..... What did ya carry?
« on: November 26, 2009, 09:58:59 PM »
What gun did ya carry to Thanksgiving dinner?  ;D

I carried my GLOCK 30 (Because I haven't been able to carry it in a while.) and my new S&W 649 (The gun that LIVES in the front pocket. Ok, ok. I also wanted to show it to the family.....). Most of my family either Liking guns themselves, or having good enough sense to know that they're good things to have around for defense, I showed off the 649 to those who weren't squeamish at the sight of guns (Which means pretty much all of them but 1.). They all liked it. My aunt has an old Ladysmith .38 that my uncle showed me (They were hosting so it was in the house but not on either of their person.), and said he wants grips like what I have on mine for it, so it'd be more comfortable to shoot. I told him since I'm gonna get lasergrips for it anyway, when I get them I'll just give him the grips off of it. My cousin in law got his CHL in the mail last week, and showed me the knife pouch he carries his spare mag for his Kahr 9MM (A steel framed one, not Polymer.) in. A $6 folding knife pouch from Bass Pro Shops. He also showed me the new pistol safe he mounted in his truck.

I love gettin together with my family. ;D

When dad and I were leaving home to go to my aunt and uncle's house I checked my pocket and noticed I forgot my wallet. I told my dad "I almost forgot my ID and Concealed Handgun License." He said "Well, I'm SURE you'll need THOSE!" I told him "I will if I have to shoot somebody." and he said "You think you'll have to shoot somebody At Thanksgiving Dinner?" I said "You don't know when you're gonna have to shoot somebody. That's the whole point of carrying the thing."

It was a good turkey day, and the Cowboys even won. (Thanksgiving is the only time I even care.....)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

The other stuff I carried, just not to the dinner table.  I inherited my Grandpa's 32 Winchester Rifle, So I talked mom into taking a couple pics with it.  I also had a Bowie, Vaquiro, and a Cobra Derringer.

Given that guns and alchohol don't mix, I carried a glass(es) of champagne and really nice chardonnay, plus a satisfied smile.  ;D
