I dind't think he'd be back in politics anyway. He's a fat and happy tv host now.

That's too bad.  The power/decision of a governor to grant clemency is a slippery slope.  If Huckabee is half the man he gives me the impression he is, I'm sure this will eat at him for a long time.

He dropped the ball, no doubt. This violent felon, at 18, was sentenced to 60 years, in Arkansas. Huckabee didn't do enough research or was swayed by the "softies" and commuted his sentence, than this repeat felon made parole and split to Washington, (another "softie" State), and there you go.

I'm sure he is second guessing himself to the point of a migraine headache.

Too bad, Huckabee is a decent guy. He just screwed this one up.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Actually, he's already made a statement blaming the courts and the system for his decision.  I don't know anything about Huckabee other than what I learned during the campaign last year.  He seemed forthright and honest.  Unfortunatly, sometimes that doesn't work in politics.....

"Huckabee issued a statement: "Should he be found to be responsible for this horrible tragedy, it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal justice system in both Arkansas and Washington State."

"This is a horrible and tragic event and if found and convicted the offender should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."

Additionally, with his record, he was charged with child rape and still bonded out in Wa. >:( a few days before this shooting.

I really want this caught alive, to find out if these LE's were targeted or just random. If targeted, then why?

Then end him. >:(

I like Huck.  Even wanted to vote for him as pres last time around.  In retrospect, Huck probably knows he let a bad guy go.  At the time it's hard to fault a guy for commuting an 18 year olds 65 year prison sentence.
No he will not say he screwed up in a public release.  He has some experience with the law, and any implication of guilt would have legal consequences far beyond saying sorry.

This is another fine example of a bad person doing bad things, that took advantage of a society that wants to believe people are inherently good.  This guy is no more than a cancerous blight upon society, fit to be removed.
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." - George Washington

He should get a fair trial followed by a first class hangin'.  Yes, I want to know the motive as well.  Another report I saw said the coffee shop employee saw that he had a gun and ran out the back door before the shooting started.
