I like Huck.  Even wanted to vote for him as pres last time around.  In retrospect, Huck probably knows he let a bad guy go.  At the time it's hard to fault a guy for commuting an 18 year olds 65 year prison sentence.
No he will not say he screwed up in a public release.  He has some experience with the law, and any implication of guilt would have legal consequences far beyond saying sorry.

This is another fine example of a bad person doing bad things, that took advantage of a society that wants to believe people are inherently good.  This guy is no more than a cancerous blight upon society, fit to be removed.

Actually it's very easy to fault some one for commuting a 65 year sentence for aggravated robbery. he was not sent up just for grabbing some old ladies purse, aggravated means there is more to the story and the dirt bag never should have seen outside again.

He dropped the ball, no doubt. This violent felon, at 18, was sentenced to 60 years, in Arkansas. Huckabee didn't do enough research or was swayed by the "softies" and commuted his sentence, than this repeat felon made parole and split to Washington, (another "softie" State), and there you go.

I'm sure he is second guessing himself to the point of a migraine headache.

Too bad, Huckabee is a decent guy. He just screwed this one up.

Maybe. Governor's get dozens of these requests every year, maybe hundreds. Bad call, perhaps, but I ain't going to second-guess him. It's not as if he personally researched this scumbag, and besides, his staff dropped the ball for sure. And the baby rape was after he hit the streets in WA.

Besides, George Ryan in Illinois opened the damn prison gates and released almost 200 convicted felons because he was worried about whether they got a fair deal or not. Either that or he was trying to salt his potential jury pool.

Wonder how many have become recidivists?

He commuted and pardoned other guys that should have met a tall tree.  After it was clear he had done that several times during his tenure I decided I could NEVER vote for him.  If his political future is done because of this GOOD!
