I owned, and liked, a mini-14. It was a reliable gun. I always thouht that it was what the M1 carbine should have been. That said, when it comes to the mini-30, why own one? If you like the look, thats fine. But remember it was supposed to be an inexpensive knock around carbine that would take hi-caps and be good enough at a hundred yards. Thing is, with prices down, you can sell that mini-30 and buy an AK. Plenty of inexpensive mags, equal or better accuracy and any part/mod you could want. Hell an SKS is a superior rifle. I'm not dissing Ruger here, I like their guns, but when it comes to the mini-30 I have to ask why? If you had an AK you wouldn't need to post about finding mags. Just my .02.
