Olymic Arms .22 Conversion kit
« on: December 08, 2009, 05:06:07 PM »
Being poor I decided to order a.22 adapter for my AR.  Having two ONe being an Olympic Arms I figured getting the .22 conversion kit would be a good idea.  The problem is I CANNOT GET it in. It sticks in a half inch out no matter what I do.

It almost fits in my DPMS.  Almost can get the takedown pin pushed back in.

I called Olympic Arms am wait for a call back, but I CANNOT believe it just doesn't slide.

I hate spending $140 and not getting something to work.

Right now I'm ticked and had to complain, but if anyone has suggestions to try I'm all ears

If it is like the ones we had in the Guard there is a trick to it, but that was 20 years ago and I forget what it was.
Maybe some one else will be able to tell you but it sounds like exactly the same thing I ran into every time I issued them.
Sorry, I guess I'm getting CRS in my old age  ;D

I will have to ask one of the old armors if I see him this weekend.

I do not want to state the obvious but did you read any instructions and follow the preping/cleaning procedures? If so you may want to send them an Email to expedite their response.

Problems are usually the most obvious, so that's ALWAYS a good place to start, and yes that was the first thing I did.  I'lll try an Email if I don't get a call by 1600 tommorrow
