What Happens With A Yacht & Deepwater, With Pics...
« on: December 08, 2009, 07:02:39 PM »
Nothing but a great afternoon. Met deepwater at the Pembroke Gun Range yesterday. Said he brought a Tokarev pistol I needed to try.

This thing was butt ugly, but shooting 7.62x25 milsurp ammo. It was the only pistol leaving a fire trail of sparks on the back stop of the range.  ;D

This thing must be the great grandfather of the Glock. It just works, Period! No issues of any kind and combat accurate. Deepwater is a hell of a shot, but he is almost 8 feet tall. ;)

I brought my FN9 and S&W 1911 and we just had a literal blast. Even with ear protection, that darn Tok, is loud...

Here's some action photos with the shells in the air with the Tok.

Shell at 3:00..

Than since deepwater is SUCH a bad influence it was time to visit a local watering hole:

The afternoon special was 3 for 1 beers. 8)  After all, it was Grumpy Gators,....

\

I just want to say, I had a great time. Meeting someone from this forum is like meeting someone you've known for a long time.
We chewed the fat on boats, and guns, and stuff, and guns, and women, and guns, and, beer, and guns... ;D

Got a text from Marshal'ette saying she won a million dollars in Vegas, and was sporting a new tattoo.. :o

Marshall cut her off and now their back in the snow in Kansas. :(

Thanks deepwater for the chance to shake your hand, shoot, and have a few beers. Really enjoyed shooting that really ugly Tokarev.

Look forward to doing it again soon.

Take Care,

Tom W.

Sounds like a great meeting ... Guns and beer between old/new friends.  We all need to do more of that, but I've heard that there is legislation in the works to limit how many DRTV members can be in the same place at the same time  ;)

I think Homeland Security probably had us followed from the range,..... :-\

Don't let the last picture fool ya', I am a two fisted drinker during happy hour, and deepwater just drinks faster than I do. :P

And a great time was had by all......Even those of us who weren't there...through the pictures.

Uh, but, what's the roll of tape for?   It's not a range accessory I'm familiar with.

Staples....√
Spring Clips....√
Clothes Pins...√
Gum Labels...√
Push Pins...√

1/2" blue painters tape....?
Will work for ammo

Wasn't it DW that went "fountain diving" with Haz and Jr.?

had a very good time. got to blow off some steam after dealing with the Coast Guard and meet one of the family.
and about the feet, probably would have needed bail money if we tried that....

looked like lots of fun guys
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
