AMEN!!  Where were all of the concealed carry citizens at the mall that terrible day.  It would only take one armed citizen to have taken care of that idiot.  The police and security guys can't be there all of the time.  There are times when we must be the ones to make the stand against evil.

I'm sorry guys. But in my opinion, the Malls nor any other situation such as this will ever work to our advantage. All it has done, along with the more recent Colorado church shootings and the tragic Virginia Tech. shootings is give the anti-gunners all the ammo (no pun intended) they'll need to move forward on the gun ban attempts that are out there. All these senseless killings with firearms are doing is stacking the deck against us.

They won't be looking at the fact these acts were done with more then likely an unregistered firearm, or maybe a stolen firearm and more then likely by individuals that shouldn't have had or owned a firearm in the first place.

THEY WILL SIMPLY REPORT THAT IT WAS DONE WITH A WEAPON/S WITH LARGE CAPACITY MAGAZINES THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN AVAILABLE FROM THE START.

Don't get me wrong. I am a registered law-abiding gun owner and all I see are our rights and liberties, due to these senseless stupid ignorant acts and individuals, more then likely resulting in yet again another ban, and this one they'll more then likely try and make a permanent ban and whomever the incoming President is will make it one of their number one goals, to eliminate our rights or even the 2nd Amendment, especially if that person is the Hildabeast.

All gun owners, my self included, know dam well that had there been an individual with the proper training and who was also a licensed CCW holder, that there would be far less senseless tragedies such as this then there are.  We all also know dam well the crime rates in which ever areas allowed CCWs that currently don't, would drop. That is a well documented fact. But as with most anything pro-gun, IT WILL NEVER BE MENTIONED ON LOCAL MEDIA CHANNELS LET ALONE NATIONAL ONES, UNLESS IT IS BEING BROADCAST BY THE NRA. And it is usually only mentioned by the NRA on there websites or  in their publications or when they pay for the network airtime to do so.

Anti-gunners, gun haters won't and usually don't go to websites like that or read such publications. They need to be told. They need to be shown that there are facts that back up what we know. This is where we, as law-abiding responsible registered gun owners and even the manufacturers of firearms and firearm accessories need to step up and spread the word. I am a loyal NRA member. But truth be told, the anti-gunners view the NRA as only telling what suits them and/or makes their cause look good. Kind of like a politician running for President. They'll say what they think you want to hear, if it means it will get them your vote.

Again, we as law-abiding registered gun owners along with the many shooting organizations and the manufacturers of both firearms and firearm accessories must stand as one. Until and unless we do, our rights will in the long run eventually be taken from us.

Every time I hear on the radio or see on the news, senseless acts of violence with a firearm such as these, not only do I feel sorrow for the innocent victims, but, I get angry at the fact that all these acts do is make things worse for us law abiding responsible registered gun owners, no matter which state you live in.

I have tried to speak to a few anti-gunners. It isn't easy. The first thing almost always out of there mouthes is, nobody unless they are the police or the military needs to own something like that. That's there view. That's there opinion. They are entitled to them as we are entitled to ours. The problem is that when stupid shit like what has happened lately at the Omaha mall or at the Colorado church or on the Virginia Tech. Campus, is it simply reinforces those beliefs and opinions. Actions speak louder then words. And the actions of  these killings is speaking volumes against the gun world and unless one of those anti-gunners with that belief or opinion has their life or the life a a family member or friend even, saved from a senseless act of violence, by a registered law abiding gun owner, the odds are, that belief and opinion will never change!

Get out there and do whatever you can to protect your rights. Don't just join the NRA and pay the dues and maybe donate a little here or a little there, or put up a post on a forum and expect that to be all that needs to be done in order to save our rights. I'm just now learning that and trying to change the fear I have that if I write a representative or politician a letter or phone a representative or politician expressing my pro gun opinion/s my name will end up on some list. I'm no longer going to worry about it. Because I realize just expecting the NRA to do it for me, is no longer going to be enough.

Here's a first hand account of the Omaha mall shooting.  It is from a blog, so there is no way to verify any of this, but it is an interesting read.  The writer of the article says that he was very close to the shooter and had an unobstructed view of him from about 40-50 meters, likely less.  He says he had a clear shot at him.

The writer claims that he has taken CCW classes, but has decided that it would not be worthwhile to go ahead and get a permit.
The reason?  Because of all the "No Guns Allowed" signs he sees, he didn't think he could carry anywhere.

For Christ's sake, carry your gun right past the stupid signs.  As long as you keep it hidden, no one will know you have it.  That's why they call it "concealed.

There's no telling how many lives that lady saved at her church. And People wonder why I carry at church.
