Ever regret buying a gun and why?
« on: December 17, 2009, 11:15:14 PM »
This goes out to anyone thats bought a gun that turned out to be a POS?
In my case it was a TEC9 model ab10 that never fed realiably and could hit the target if you threw at it.

I have a lot more regrets about guns I've sold or traded than I do about the ones I've bought.

There are two I regret.  I had a Cobra Derringer.  It was a piece of junk should have just got a Bond
The other one was a .40 short and weak Glock.  It never felt right, never could hit anything.  The ONLY thing it had going for  it was the full mag during the dark days of the clinton AWB.

My "new rule" is to never sell a gun that has superior accuracy no matter what it is. There are a few guns I wish I still had if I'd followed that rule. I've never really had a pos but many just did not work out as I liked. The only gun I ever picked up that should have been a pos was that small AMT .45. It was good to me but it gave the friend I sold it to nothing but headaches.

Heck I had 3 at one time. (v.e.r.y slow learner)   Couldn't keep them on the target backer, much less anywhere near the black.

Will work for ammo

Damn, they did go bang every time though, and looked cool as well. A mini-garand. I don't know how Ruger screwed that one up, but I sold mine as well.

Thought I needed a High Standard something or other in .22 short.  Thought it was going to be very accurate and light shooting for target/plinking.  Never could get it to feed reliably and wasn't that accurate...sold it and took the hit!
