Seriously, Merry Christmas All!!!
As a member of the local Ministerial Association I had the privilege of helping with a community Thanksgiving meal. The organization where my wife is executive director allowed her to head it up after I had done if for a few years, and then it went by the wayside because we had other commitments. It is great to spend time with people that most look down their noses at, and find out that many are better than us.
Tonight the organization where she works had their Christmas party for the families that participate in Life Skills Training. Once again we had a good meal, sang carols and played games with families that need support.
Not necessarily a good deed, but a great time and real blessing. Some day everyone needs to go to one of these and meet those people we try to avoid.
