Hibiscus eating squirrel?

Okay, here's the deal. My Hibiscus bushes have been looking ratty (literally as it turns out). I went and sprayed them with pestecide, asumming  it was bugs. Today, I see the little grey bastard eating a leaf (iguana style) off the branches. Now, in all my life, I have never seen this behavior from a squirrel before. Is it the bad influence of illegal aliens (iguanas and possibly the Guatemalan yard crews), or is this normal? Also, should I get out the RWS and whack the beast or no? Its not the Christmas spirit that stops me, its just that my dog takes such pleasure in chasing him. I hate to deprive her of her fun.

My guess would be the pesticide has Rocky layed out in his nest with at least a very bad belly ache.  May even have been enough to stop his leaf eating habit for good!

Yeah.  +1 on BM.  But if that doesn't work a soulution of cyan pepper and water sprayed on them.  I don't think it will hurt the plants but it generally works for most everything else.  Also works in bird feeders. Birds can't taste but the squirrils can.  It is freakin hilarious to watch that too
