Outlawed Samurais
« on: December 14, 2007, 07:16:32 AM »
I heard on NPR this morning (a very brief, NOT-in-depth report) that in London they are outlawing cheap Samuai swords. Evidently the criminals are using them as "saturday night specials". Expensive collector swords will still be legal for collectors, but they want to get the cheap swords off the streets.

It just goes to show you that the law abiding need protection from the law breakers, no matter what weapons are available. Pretty soon they'll have to outlaw icepicks, corkscrews, cricket bats, you name it.

Actually the ice picks, cricket bats, etc are outlawed.

You are not allowed to carry anything to use as an offensive weapon (including a rock).  Defending yourself IS an offensive use.
All tipoes and misspelings are copi-righted.  Pleeze do not reuse without ritten persimmons  :D

Notice how the news reports specified SAMURAI swords?  They're so politically correct in Britain, I bet they don't have the cojones to outlaw whatever kinds of swords are used by Muslims to behead infidels, Daniel Pearl, etc.  That would be disrespectful to so many of their newest upstanding residents.  What hypocrites!

You can bet the expensive collector swords will have to be locked up, separated from their scabbards. And if you are caught transporting them, without the proper papers (where have we heard that before?), you will be in deep trouble.

One moron who happened to have an MD after his name, I believe it was the head of the British equivalent of the AMA, even recommended never producing another knife with a point, as they were so unnecessary.

Folks, the Brits have checked out of the fight. They helped for a while, once we got past us kicking their sorry imperialistic butts out, but they have since gone completely loony.

And we are next, one the guns get banned. Remember this next November when you cast your vote.
