 4th straight day of snow flurries, 1/4" - 1" of snow in a day is not much but when it continues for a week or more it starts to add up  :(
High 20's though and not much wind so I can't complain.

Tom, we had some real heavy winds here last night, had to be 30 to 40 mph, that seems to be over now.

Sorry to resurect an older topic but I thought I would share.
Its now 1.50am here in little ol Tasmania and its 80.6F outside of my door. Luckily I am working Night shift from home because its way too warm to sleep, was so warm today I even went and brought an aircon.
I have seen the latest weather from stateside and they say youre experiencing a big cold snap even in sunny florida.

It's been a reasonable 25 here in NH for weeks now. We had 1 day of 8 and windy and 1 day of 40.

I was inspired, I just spoke to a work colleague in Virginia (Transurban USA) and he was saying he was freezing, I told him I was sitting here with both the front and back door open wearing only a pair of shorts with the fan on.. Can you believe he actually swore at me!

I'm sitting here in St. Pete Florida where it dropped to 29 outside my bedroom window last night.  Just got off the horn to North Carolina where an 80-year-old gentleman told me this is the coldest air he has ever felt.  Said it should get up to the high 20's there today.  All I can say is Thank God for Global Warming or we'd all freeze to death.

And I know that 29 isn't near what you eskimos up north are experiencing, but this is Florida and we are ill-equipped to deal with this sort of stuff.  My heat pump stops pumping heat when it drops much below 40 and my house doesn't have a fireplace.  We may start breakin' up the furniture to burn in the driveway if this keeps up.  If I didn't have to work, I'd start throwing anti-freeze down my neck (and by anti-freeze I mean Scotch) for the illusion of warmth it provides.

I went to boot in Orlando in '75 from Sept to Dec.....there were several mornings that were below freezing that fall.  The USN would not allow us to wear any cold weather gear because of the uniform regs.

T-shirt, long sleeve utility blouse (the stupid one), utility pants, socks, boondockers and a ball cap while humping a 15 pound M1 Garand with a leaded barrel...

Fun was had by all..... ;)

It's another lovely day of 35 here in the Northeast fellas.... ;D
