#1  It says "several," which to me says there is an engineering problem in that area of the lower or in the manufacturing process.  Looking at where it breaks I'm thinking not enough material in the area and the pin holes act like perferations.

That is one under supported stress point. Bad news. Could also turn it into a short barreled rifle and get the owner in trouble through no fault of their own.
