I'm assuming these are to compete with the Mini Glocks?  Bill T.

I'm glad I wasn't going (totally) crazy last night on that SR9c  ;D

When it disappeared I kept thinking "It was just there! What the hell?"

YAWN!!!

Ruger is becoming the king of letdowns.

How are you supposed to be excited over the same guns in a different caliber.

They had a countdown for these.  ::)

Take a good look at the fit and finish on the GP100 pictured.  If their selling that for well under $100 I'd say it's not to bad!

Heavy large frame revolvers with mid-range calibers.  I'm not understanding where the market is, unless their just trying to make a point to the industry that they support the Fed. 327 caliber.  Sure there may be a shooting league or two that support this kind of firearm in this caliber, but are profit earning sales going to be generated from that small niche market?  Hard to believe!

Just went back and looked.  $701 for the GP100!!!  ;D :o ;D

And you can measure it's weight in pounds...   :(

So, on to the next topic.  Who do you think will buy Ruger when they file bankruptcy?

The Glock 26 is still smaller, slimmer, and 6 oz lighter ;)

*Correction 3 oz lighter

Ok. Can someone tell tell what the point of .327 is, other than to sell more guns. I mean yes you can fit an extra round or two in the cylinder, but for that you trade off a cheap and avialible caliber that has a zillion loads for it and lose the ability to shoot .38s. Less recoil? Please, anyone  who bitches about recoil in a black Hawk should be issued an airsoft and sent home to mommy. What is the attraction? There must be one that I'm not seeing.

I'm agreeing with FQ on this one, I don't see a real point in the cartridge and I'm usually very quick to defend innovation. On top of that it has been out for almost 2 years or so and I have never seen either a weapon chambered for it, or a box of ammo on the shelves of any gun store.

If I'm wrong about this weapon I'd love to hear it, maybe a bit more variety in the ammunition, something that differentiates the 327 from the rest of the competition in a more visible way would be a start.

I love Ruger firearms.  The first gun that I shot was a 10/22 that I inherited from my dad and I still have it today.  I have owned several others in the past including several P series pistols.  I was really hoping that they would be bringing out something cool but nothing that they announced is for me.  I like the SR9 but the compact frame is not my style and 327 isn't a caliber that I care anything about.  Ruger let me down on this one but I'll still hold out hope for something up my alley.

Sometimes I think people get confused over why gun companies build guns, which is to make money. The Blackhawk in .327 has the potential to be a marvelous small game/"packing pistol," to borrow a phrase from my friend John Taffin. As far as who'll buy one, I will — and the SA master gunsmiths have been working overtime on .327 conversions on the Blackhawk pattern, so someone wants them. Before that, they were working overtime on 32/20 full-sized Blackhawk conversion.

I'm already planning 2 hunts for our upcoming handgun hunting show using the .327 Blackhawk (an maybe the SP-101) — coyotes and spring turkey. As a person who carries a single action in the woods on a regular basis, I have no trouble figuring out what it's for. Caleb over at Gun Nuts media pegged the SP-101 7-shooter as a gun appealing to competitors as well as the home defense market, where the SP-101 has carved out an enviable niche over the decades.

And here's a thought on caliber...I didn't jump on the .327 bandwagon at all then the cartridge first appeared, but I have had a change of heart for 2 — one micro and one macro — reasons:

1) I spent a day on the range at GUNSITE comparing .327 and .357 SP-101 snubs with a big variety of personal defense loads.
2) I have a Sweetie who shoots .32 H&R in cowboy.

So let's talk about recoil...I know for a fact that Indiana Jackson can stand on the line and hammer heavy-bullet .32 H&R rounds into center mass all day long. So as a professional self-defense instructor, what should I tell her to do? Man the f^&k up and shoot a caliber with
REAL HAIRY BALLS to prove...what? Or should I suggest a caliber that she can shoot and deliver 85-grain Federal Hydra-Shocks into center mass all day long? Remember, I don't believe in the myth of "stopping power"...I believe in lots of holes in the target...the more, the faster, the better.

As far as the SR9c, hey, you like Glock 26s, carry one. I have a Glock 26 that I don't carry because I don't particularly like the grip angle and the grip is a little short for me. One size doesn't actually fit all.

And before there's a mass "RUGER IS DEAD" orgasm here, I might suggest you look at their stock prices...

I have no doubt its a handy cartridge. The thing is Ruger could and should innovate a bit. You win win market share by creating a niche Look how well they did with the mini-14. If  they were to retool the AK, with the same mags and reliabilty at mini-14 prices they would make huge money. Pretty much everyone who wants and can afford an AR has one. The next big thing is folks buying one in GP, but even that will saturate. Folks who want a first or more likely second EBR would love a high quality AK as something different. Or again, a new and improved semi-44 mag. I have no problem with .327 per se, it just wouldn't be my first choice, just a .357 sig isn't and for the same reasons. If .357 is too much gun in a snubby, .38 +P is plenty good enough. But too each their own I don't hate it, I just can't see a reason to buy it.
