Well guys, I just watched that last installment today and the very last part of the episode got my attention. To recap, the "husband character" was trying to convince the wife to get into a safe location. She was resisting "advice" (as woman love to do) and, in the end, it looked like the both will end up dead.
I think this is a great topic for the next episode. As a matter of fact, you could write the next 50 episodes around this topic: how do you get resistant family members out of the equation.
I naturally think of my own wife's background and temperment: raised by a family that hunts but thinks only crazy people own AR15's, taught self protection obliviousness, doesn't even want to hear the words "threat recognition", and stubborn.
For any self defense situation, I can see this scenario being the biggest and most likely black hole to avoid. Personally, when I think of what to do, I think of the "last will and testament" instructions they give on an airplane before you take off....."put the mask on you face first, then put it on someone else." I would rather go retrieve a gun while shouting instructions rather than waste time by attempting to herd the family cats. Grabbing small children by the arm is one thing. Telling independent adults what to do is something else entirely.
Well..just my two cents...
