Will it include a climactic wheel chair battle with Sly Stallone playing Rambo XXVI? (brought to you by Geritol) Honestly, can Hollywood come up with an original plot or are we doomed to sequels and re-makes? Red Dawn the Next Generation anyone? Yikes!

Groan......yawn.......another lame apocalypse movie.....

Please, the movie was good for teenagers in 1979.  Those teenyboppers are now grown up and might have read a book or two since.....

How 'bout another "Blob" movie or "Attack of the 50ft Palin".....going "Commando" of course...

MUST NOT COMMENT.....slaps own hand away from keyboard......MUST NOT COMMENT. ;D ;D ;D
Seriously though, I am right there with you. If you are going to revisit a classic, pull a Clint Eastwood. I grew up with and loved the "Man With No Name" trilogy. "The Unforgiven" was a fitting coda to the series and an acknowledgement that the audience had grown up. It wasn't a remake with special effects, just old farts who were wiser but sadder men. Too bad others haven't gotten the hint.

Um, I hate to break it to you, but they are currently taping "Red Dawn."

Next thing you know it will be Lethal Weapon (what is it up to IV, V,?),

Have they not learned anything from the Friday the 13th part 27???

Sequels or Remakes are NEVER as good as the first or original.

I don't care what CG special effects can be after x number of years...

What's next a redo of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly??

pleeeeezzzzzeeeeeee.

Don't make me drive down there and slap you. >:( Anyone remaking that or Apocalypse Now (fat chance of that, though Tropic Thunder was funny) should be taken out and shot.

How about a redo of Conan the Barbarian? The Deer Hunter, Taxi, Gone With The Wind...????

There are plenty of scripts of totally NEW movies sitting on desks collecting dust,,,,,and the best they can do is remake a movie or do another sequel???

P.S. I thought Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome sucked, but Tina Turner will always have kick ass legs,... ;)
