What Was Your Favorite Decade ?

For me it was the 60's, and early 70's. Good music, less hassles, no metal detectors in schools or airports. Less crime, and fewer laws. Today life is more of a hassle. And even though we had Democratic Presidents, they were Republican Conservatives compared to what we have now!  Bill T.

Considering I've only lived through two of them, the 90's.  I didn't know about people killing each other and while live wasn't as full of material possesions as I may have wanted or have now, I needed for nothing and had plenty of fun.

Early 70's to very early 80's, young enough not to worry about what Nixon, Ford, or Jimmy Carter were doing to the country, and times were more simple, (to a kid anyway). Miami was great in the early 70's for a kid. Coconut Grove, Matheson Hammock, Biscayne Bay, (when it had fish),...Key Largo, Crandon Park. Good areas than, didn't even need to know Spanish back than.

Concerts, fishing, girls, music, speed skating, bike's, girls, getting into guns, girls, friends you still remember, cars, more girls,....growing my hair long, to get girls, just enjoying life for what it was, not what it was going to be,....

The 50's because I was a baby.
The 60's because I was a kid.
The 70's becasue I was a kid who became an adult and was getting more a$$ than a toilet seat!
The 80's because I was a man who became a husband and father!
The 90's because my kid grew into a beautiful young girl who lit up our lives!
The 00's because Slick Willy was gone, my daughter became a young woman and made us so proud!
The 10's are only going to be better than the previous, especially when my daughter gets out of my house!  

I guess I liked them all!

+10 TW. I'm a few years younger than you, but, the late seventies, particularly in Fl. seemed to be ideal. The Yankees had the good grace to leave in the summer, you could still park at the inslet and build a fire on the beach. There were fewer than three fishermen per snook or bonefish, and this wacky concept of open undeveloped land was still there. Plus, I didn't need to learn Spanish, wear a helmet on my bike, carry a Godda$#ed cell phone. Plus it was pre-aids,post pill and there was still rock and roll on the radio.

My first thought was the '80s:  Great music, lots of parties, no real responsibility.  During my college years I spent several summers on Martha's Vineyard making lots of money and partying every night.  It was lots of fun, but in the end meant nothing.

So I'm going to have to go with the 2000s:  Got married to the woman of my dreams, my daughter was born, got my dream job, found my hobby (shooting), and discovered this web site.  All in all, not a bad decade.

I say the 70's

I could sleep as long as I wanted.
No job to worry about.
No worries about money.
I had a live in chef/maid and a handyman 24/7 (also doubling as chauffer).
Heck, if I didn't feel like going to the bathroom I could just crap my pants and someone would clean it up for me.

Lifes really been down hill since.
