I don't know how you guys do it, but you get the most desirable guns and products for give-aways.  This looks like a great pistol.  Come to think of it, you have the best programs going on the outdoor tv channels as well.  I'm prejudiced I guess, because I really like "The Best Defense"!!

I'm kind of curious how the giveaways are selected. For instance with the Wilson Specops 9 was this something that MB requested from Wilson or do the manufacturers offer these up unsolicited? I'm thankful for my Insight and I'm just curious how these things come to be part of DRTV.

For the most part, giveaways are selected during our "hit and miss communication" with the industry. A Giveaway is a nice way to get the word out about specific products or brands, so the manufacturers do not hesitate when it comes to DRTV. Sometimes we ask specifically, other times they take the initiative.

Regarding the Spec-Ops, it happened so fast I can't even remember who took the initiative. I do remember a phone call from Michael earlier this month where he said: "I just received a Wilson Combat Spec-Ops and you can't have it!" This is his way of telling me that we have a new giveaway.....  ;)

In the video, Michael says it has the best features of the 1911 and the Hi-Power.  Which best features are from the Hi-Power?

Wilson has this old style 1911 shooter thinking it's time for a change.  Great design and fantastic features.  The guys at Wilson have some great 45's it looks like if I don't WIN i need to put it on my wish list for this year.
Keep up the solid work-
