What are you mounting yours on? It took me over an hour to get a good fit to my M&P after I found there are 2 different locking bars. One for "Universal" and on for 1913 compatible. I tell you I liked my M3's construction in a lot of ways better but this thing is hella bright. And it doesn't heat up like my old M3 did. I am going to order one of BladeTech's holsters for my M&P45 with the M3 I just can't decide whether to go paddle or belt. Anyone have any experience with the Blade Tech mounting systems to know which would be slimmer?

      Garand, I figured I would mount on my new Wilson Combat Spec Ops 9mm when I win it in a couple of weeks...LOL
I've been wondering the same thing as it hasn't come in yet. One thing I noticed is it's specs. show it to be a little slimmer than the M3. I had tried to mount the M3 on the 12:00 rail on my YHM AR and found that it covered some of the sight picture when viewing it through the Eotech. So I am hoping it will not stick out as much...Also I will most likely try it on a Springfield XD45 5".
These 2 weapons for all intent and purpose are a match set and go everywhere togather, So I want a light that can be mounted on both.

Beware since you have a M3 you are probably use to being able to easily mount it from one to the other. This one is NOT that way. To prevent it from fitting loosely and moving on the rail Insight says to tighten the allen screws as much as possible. I did so and it is impossible to remove. FYI the plastic lock bar is not as tuff as the M3 so moving it from your XD to your rifle is going to require you to bring the allen wrench with you. Not fun trying to move it without. I nearly took my thumb nail off trying. It is one light that you are going to want to put on and leave. Wonderful illumination though. It easily out shines my Surefire Scout Light LED with it's 125 lumen lamp. I am going to leave the light on my M&P45 and order a Blade Tech holster to fit it and the WX150 and leave my M&P40 an 9c for better concealment carry.
