Range Day Included A Great 50 Caliber Treat!
« on: January 16, 2010, 04:14:37 PM »
Finally made it to the Gun Club I recently joined to actually shoot.  Some other members showed up with a cooler full of Tannerite in coffee cans, an old desktop computer tower, old xerox machine, and a 50BMG! :o

Well if you hit a coffee can of Tannerite at 100 yds with a .223 it makes a nice kaboom!!!  ;D Little mushroom cloud and everything.

If you shoot a Xerox machine with a 50BMG it obliterates it. These guys were kind enough to let me send a few rounds downrange from their Barrett.

Holy smokes Batman!!!!! For those that might not know, it creates a shock wave that can be felt 10 feet away that shakes through your whole body. Not as bad if your the one firing. But all I can say is WOW!!!!! What a great chance to shoot one.

I think I hate billt again,.... ;)

Great day,...... had a chance to give bowling pins HELL.  Let the Sig556 rock and roll, get some G21 time in, and meet some great folks. Weather was warm and breezy. If I win the Powerball, I'm getting two 50's... ::)

Glad you enjoyed the 50BMG. I had the same offer at a local range 2 - 3 weeks ago and declined for the reason of WEAK disipine. Had I shot that 50, I would have wanted one soooooo bad that I would have went to the Bank for a loan. In the past, I dreamed of having one. I want one still. To have shot that 50 would have sent me over the line.

I currently am looking at the 2010 Mustang GT..........So many toy's and not enough money is the problem here.

+1

A couple of years ago I had the chance to fire an M14.  I didn't because I knew that would just make me want it even more.  I finally have my M1a on order so soon I'll be able to fullfill that need.

Cool!  A bank teller I know is dating a PO that has one.  They go out and shoot appliances with it. She's on to something.

I gotta find a girl that has one so I can date her...
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

They will also vibrate fluorescent bulbs out of their sockets up under the range shelter with the shock wave.........sometimes......  :o
