Airsoft pistol recommendations

I was thinking about getting some airsoft pistols to augment my training. I am interested in Glock 17/19 clones and 1911 clones. Can anyone make some recommendations on good quality airsoft pistols? And let me know if there are any issues I need to be aware of too. At this point, I am aware that I don't know what I should know so any help is appreciated.....

Thanks, M58...What's the deal about blowback vs. non-blowback, CO2 vs. green gas? I know you shoot USPSA, so how has this platform helped you? And how many shots do you get out your cartridges?....I know, alot of questions...

I'm not sure about green gas vs co2, but I think the biggest difference in blowback vs non-blowback is the extra gas used to cycle the slide. I have a M&P replica, non-blowback, co2 powered. I like it and I get between 150 and maybe 200 shots per co2 cylinder.  I also got 2 extra mags so I could practice rapid reloads. The only difference in reloading to the real thing is the cycling the slide. I wish I could get a blowback model for the extra realism in reloads, but I can live with just running my hand over the slide like I'm going to release it. That works for now. I'm not sure about what manufacturer is the best. I started by googling air soft and looking at different websites till I found the M&P witch was fairly difficult to find. Glock would probably be fairly easyer by comparison. Wish you luck at finding the right equipment for you.

Do you have a price point? 

Walmart of all places had some good CO2 blowbacks, I think they were ~$40 w/ two mags.  They were 1911 IIRC.  Weight and trigger were not realistic, though.  To get realistic trigger feel and weight gets WAY more expensive, like real gun expensive.

The blowback design allows you to load up a magazine or two and shoot just like you regular gun - including the feel of recoil (even though it is lighter).

I like the green gas, because it comes in bulk cans, and you fill the magazine with it just like a butane lighter.  I purchased the adapter and use propane for mine.  It costs less and is readily available.

For me the use of the airsoft gives me trigger time on target with feedback.  It is not exactly the same as my other guns, but it is close enough to allow me to go through the motions and see the results.

A few years ago there was a large crack down on airsoft glocks. But as far as a recommendation goes..... Id highly recomend the Tokyo Marui M.E.U. Only down side is finding HFC134A gas. I have used my Marui M.E.U for close to two years, primaraly for Military Simulations use, & that sucker is built to last.
