Groups Press Congress to Finish Health Care Overhaul

Leaders of several interest groups said at a news conference Wednesday that the House should clear the Senate-passed health care bill for President Obama's signature. Simultaneously, they said, Congress should also move a "corrections" bill that would carry changes agreed to by Democratic congressional leaders and the White House.

It appears that Queen Nancy is looking to press the House to accept the Senate Healthcare bill and then use budgeting proposals to change the bill without actually amending the bill.  This would not require any further votes in the Senate.

"We will have something," Pelosi said as top Democrats and the White House groped for a way to advance President Barack Obama's top domestic goal. "One way or another, we will go forward with that."

Pelosi and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid have been working to find a way to pass the historic overhaul after a shock election defeat that gave Republicans the bare minimum of Senate votes needed to block the bill.

If they really wanted to overhaul health care, it would not be some 1000+ page bill that no one knows what is in it.

It would be a several short bills tackling the real probs in health care.

Things like INS companys( both health and mal practice), firing idiot docs, getting rid of fruad, no illegal alien health care... etc

any on of those things would make a huge diffrence.  They are also very simple to do.

if you screw up big time, you can never be a doctor again, if you cover for said doctor, you get the same.

you commit medcare fruad, you go to jail for 25 years, lose every thing you own and must work on inmates.  if you cover for another doc doing this, you get teh same.
