Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

At the end of the video it comes up with an earlier interview where the police responded to a man with a gun call on him during his interview with the same reporter. To me the police's response caused a bigger risk than he did. Do you really trust CA cops with a rifle? Hell 4 cops responded some had guns drawn and one came up from behind him with an AR. California should be drug before the constitution and hung. Crimes against common sense and the american people.

Arizona is Open Carry Friendly and they have no requirement that the weapon be unloaded.  The times I have been there and open carried, I got little more than a passing glance from people on the street or in restaurants.  California's requirement that the weapon be unloaded means you're going to be defending yourself with a very expensive rock.

“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

Can they carry a loaded magazine that's not in the gun?
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington.
