Fixed again

my mother worked for FTB, which is CAs IRS, she actually had people make it on to the grounds armed looking for her. People get really pissed off when they have money taken from thier check to pay for back taxs.

Bring enough gun!

It gets better, at that time thier offices were on aero jet property which at that time was still activly working on miltary projects.  he was swarmed by MP armed with m 16s and jeep mounted m 60s.     I'm sure he pissed and craped his pants.  My mother still has the news paper cliping.

What wounds? I just got a flashback to the movie scene where Mulder was taking a leak on an indepence day poster in an alley behind the bar and the wild eyed old guy strted talking about how FEMA was the root of all evil. I thought it was funny. If there's some sort of subtext here, I'm not in the club. Sorry if I offended any one for any reason, because believe me, I just found the idea of armed FEMA agents a perfect cipher for conspiracy theorists of any stripe and thought it was worth a giggle. No more.

Just giving you a hard time. I know hard core XFiles fans that were nearly suicidal when that movie came out. Something about commercializing the franchise. The movie I thought was a joke, you know evil government and black helicopter and all. I thought your reference was good. Still it opens old wounds if you liked the series and being from Roswell, you know. Just razzing you that's all.

Ignorance strikes again. In your case, more like a constant drone.

Some of our first responders talked with us at one of the two Citizen Academies I attended (ambulance service). They had gone to NO after Katrina to help out, and they told absolute horror stories of being housed in a gymnasium with minimal fans and heavily armed FEMA guards with automatic weapons preventing anyone other than FEMA from going to the FEMA section of the building - with air conditioning of course. The responders weren't gun people but I gathered from what they told me that the guards carried either MP5s or M-4s, plus side-arms.

As I noted, I would be surprised to find a gummint agency that does NOT have a SWAT-like group.

I would not be at all surprised to learn that every Fed agency, including the FDA, had a SWAT-style group. Sign of the times as the Fed becomes even more statist, and besides, the inter-departmental jealousies mandate that if Rickie gets to have guns for his people, so do I.

Hell, they've already made every local and county PD bomb squad members Special US Marshall Deputies, what's a few extra shotties in the Fed arsenal?

Besides, it gives the Feds lots more firepower, cleverly hidden within the gummint bureaucracy - harder to see. And y'all missed the fact that these have to be compatible with the ones already in stock, per the specs of their armorer.

Think on that - the IRS has an armorer.

The FDA DOES have a SWAT team.
