MILWAUKEE - A prank turns to terror on Milwaukee's north side.

It happened when a 21-year-old man thought it would be funny to scare his mother when she got home from shopping Thursday night.

He put on a ski mask, confronted her behind their home and pretended to rob her.

That's when she pulled out a .357 revolver and fired several times.

Her son was hit at least twice by bullets, one of them to the groin.

He is in the hospital this morning, but there is no word on his condition.

Officials say they discovered two guns on the scene of the shooting in the 3700 block of N. 13th Street.

Regular readers will note the many times I have cautioned against teaching women to shoot.  And she got him RIGHT IN THE JOHNSON.  No grandbabies from THAT side of the family, huh? :o

Now see if she would have spanked him as a kid this would never have happend... parents need to be feared.

If he was trying to mug is mom for drug/beer money, he got what he deserved.

The idea of pulling a prank with a real gun is absurd. Would like to know if the prank gun was loaded. The nurtured felon/son did not get all that he deserved IMO.

Uh, guys? I would bet Mom is in serious trouble. WI does not have CCW. And Sonny Boy is likely in trouble too, just for brandishing.

This has not ended well, and will not end well down the line.
