I clicked the link on the .gov site, 10 questions, no big deal, not even annual income or other "prying" questions....

I'm probably already on the "right-wing, Bible & Gun Clinger's List" and maybe a couple more, knowing Capt. Clueless Eric Holder and the other thugs in D.C.

Haven't seen any fly-by's of Black Helicopters yet....

With the new Mind Cloaking device, you cannot see them while not wearing a helmet made of aluminum foil.  I have see the pictures of that idiot with the tin foil hat.  It is absurd.  Those little 'horns' are useless, both as a device to dissipate the broadcasts to control you like little lightning rods, and as amplifiers of your own thought projections.  Save your foil.

How do I know the form I received isn't counterfeit?

Any request for census information from the Census Bureau will be clearly identified as coming from the U.S. Census Bureau and as OFFICIAL BUSINESS of the United States. Before your household receives a mailed form, a phone call or a visit from the Census Bureau, you will be given a few days’ notice with a letter from the Census Bureau Director.


I filled out and returned the form but a census taker visited my home anyway.

Quality checks are used to assure our procedures are working and that our staff is doing the job they were assigned to do. These checks require that some households be visited more than once. Additionally, if you returned your form late, your response might not be logged before a census taker is sent out.


Why does the census taker visit my home more than once?

Census takers visit local homes up to three times to record resident information for 2010 Census. The census taker leaves a door hanger, featuring a phone number, each time, if the residents they're trying to reach aren't home. Residents can then call the number to schedule the visit. In addition, quality checks to ensure that census procedures are working and census staff is doing their job will require that some households be visited more than once.

I was just trying to...............ummmm................................help Audrey make sure she got fair market value out of them in case of your untimely demise.  Yeah......that's it.....THAT's the ticket!!!!!!

If you haven't read it, Michelle has a great article on the waste in the census bureau.

Also, for those not on top of it, this "round" of census is the "short form" questionaire sent to everybody.  Over the next 10 years you will be getting along form, more intrusive questionaire.   They just aren't doing it all in one year.   That way the basically are talking a "sample" every year and can track certain trends.

You are required to fill out the long form, by law, as completely and honestly as the short one.

I don't know about anyone else, but with spending out of control like it is and with the economy and unemployment like they are, I'm angry that they spent 2.5 million of tax payer money to run an ad about the 2010 Census during the Superbowl.
I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6!
