"Super" Bowl?
« on: February 08, 2010, 02:32:37 PM »
Just wondering what everyone thought of last night's game.  I, for one, was rather disappointed.  I expected to see a high-scoring, offensive shootout, but it seemed as if only the Saints showed up to play.  I'm happy for NO since this was their first "rodeo", but I would've preferred to see a more competitive and exciting game.  Manning, and Brees to a lesser extent, seemed unwilling to go downfield, settling for short, "safe" completions instead.  Of course, considering Manning's end of game passing woes, anything beyond 10 yards was probably a disaster waiting to happen.

I thought it would be a shot out also, so I guess a little disappointed but with no dog in the fight I can't complain.

Ping might have something to say about this one.  ;D

I hope the bookies are crying in their beer, they had the Colts winning by 2 touchdowns, and this was going to be a really high scoring game.

Wrong and Wrong.

Good game. Seeing Manning pout as he was benched for such a looooong time was great.

It's always good to see the underdog win!
The commercials were quite suckish, however  :(

Ok game. My cowboys were sitting at home again so we had some snacks and waited for the commercials. I'm with red......they were suckish!

The only commercials worth a damn were:

1)  Snickers with Betty White and Abe Vigoda
2)  Doritos with the dog and the shock collar
3)  Doritos with the little kid slapping his mom's horndog date.
4)  E-Trade baby ad with the "milkaholic".

THe rest were VERY suckish.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Cool???  Haz, my friend, it's getting too much that way already and if the tree huggers and FQ get what they want, we may be sharing a cell for using lead projectiles.  I found that spot rather frightening.
