Pfffftt - that ain't nothing but snow flurries in ND. Up the winds to 55+ and drop the temps to minus whatever, throw in the snow and now you have a ND blizzard aka winter storm.

A year ago, as I dug out from some of the latest "global warming", for the first time in my life, I found myself muttering the words - I need to move someplace warmer! Like NM!!!!

DC has been hit with two record snow falls this past week.   Now is the time to say to Congress....All if favor of limiting Global Warming say Aye.

Thank goodness for Global Warming.  Think how bad it would be without it. -=)

I don't know anything about this global warming thing, but on one of the local newspapers' website some tree hugger that acted like they knew something about it said that the cold weather we are getting is due to the gobal warming melting the ice caps and forcing the colder arctic and antarctic waters to the warmer central waters.  It seems a bit unlikely that it is real due to the weather.  I also think that the Earths Climate has Cycles that it goes through.

I do think we need to try and get away from fossil fuels and conserve energy but my reasons for doing so isn't due to "Global Warming" I just think it is wasteful to leave lights on when not needed and it is stupid for people that live in cities and work in cities and insist on driving a 12 mpg full size pickup to work like it is a 30mpg Cadi.  Then to turn around and have some "Tree Hugger" tell me that I don't need my pickup to farm with or try and say that our farm machinery is what is causing all of the global warming.  B-S I say.   BAHHH.. I could go on and on.  Probably wrong but I don't think that my point of view is much different than most around here and I don't need to continue to beat the dead horse.

Anyway Screw the tree huggers.  People just need to be environmentally responsible just like being a responsible gun owner or law abiding citizen and I don't think that this should be a congressional issue.  Why is it not just apart of everyday common sense.

Oh yeah, they just reported that the ice cap shrinking....NOT...they made that one up to.  The hugger is leaning on old lies.  So much of that is made up...and cycles, yup...solar cycles.  Solar luminosity correlates really well with global temperatures.   We may be entering a solar minima much like the mini-ice age a few centuries ago....we have not had very much solar activity for a year now.  Check some of the reputable scientists who forecasted cooling this winter based on solar observations.  Within the last month there has been some pickup in sunspots/solar activity so we may have just had an 11 year cycle that bottomed out longer than usual...but who knows????  Might be getting cooler, might be getting hotter and if Al Gore could find a way to tax sunlight I'm sure he would have gone that route first.

Everyday common sense is the way to go.

It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

Global warming or not it's been a mild winter here. There's no lake effect snow where I'm at. When I shovel snow tomorrow it will only be about the 4th or 5th time this winter. A few times we had an inch of snow that I didn't shovel but still it hasn't snowed much. Most years I plow up a snowpile the size of my shed. This year it's tiny.
