Ad Feedback Snow has not fallen in every state today but all 50 states have some accumulation -- even the mountain tops of Hawaii.

The storm moving across the South has brought snow to the Florida panhandle for the first time in a long time. Some places haven't seen this much snow in more than 30 years.

In Texas, Dallas and Fort Worth broke their one day snowfall records with more than a foot of snow. Many roofs caved in and several trees came down under its weight.

"The tree split, half of it was on this side, on the other half about 30 minutes later on the car," resident Scott Jackson said.

"All I was doing was sleeping in my rocking chair, and then somebody came and told me my car is buried," Gus Matero, another local resident, said.

And with no snow plows in these places, traffic has been a mess. In west Texas, icy roads led to backups, and the backups led to pileups. Flights were cancelled from Dallas to Atlanta.

In North Carolina, heavy winds caused more than a thousand power outages.

"It was bad last night, I tell you that wind blew hard," South Carolina resident Rachel Day, who lost power during the storm, said.

Cities in southern Alabama saw their largest snowfall since the 1970s. And in Louisiana, although it wasn't quite a blizzard on the bayou, it was enough to cancel school.

"I hope we get enough snow to build a snowman...or throw snowballs," one boy said.

"I think it's really cool, we haven't had snow in a long time and it could like get up to one inch and I'm really excited," one young girl said.

Northerners might chuckle at all the fuss over a few inches, but when you haven't seen this much snow for decades - if ever - it doesn't take much to create excitement, and big problems.

Meteorologists say it's extremely rare to have so many states with snow at once.

Hey Peg, kiss my a$$.  :-*

That isn't snow.

Snow is the stuff that is piled up 3 feet in my yard. If you really want snow, come take mine. I've had my fill.

To us....it's a lot........ but you can keep it........  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
