I haven't gone to one in 2 years, My local gun shop may not have any where near the volume but he turns over his stock faster, I pay no admission, and I can carry, no carry at a GUN SHOW ? What genius dreamed THAT one up ???  ?
Oh, I forgot the BEST part, At the LOCAL shop they clean the worst of the mud and rust off the older guns  ;D

From county to county, the Palm Beach show had a huge sign:

PER COUNTY ORDINANCE:
ALL PRIVATE SALES MUST GO THROUGH A LICENSED DEALER.
NO EXCEPTIONS RECEIPTS WILL BE VERIFIED.

Ft. Laud show, cash and carry. Seems PB is becoming too PC.
Sheriff's did check/clear all guns at the door going in, and all buyers that bought a firearm were issued receipts that were checked by
the LEO's to get out.

Private sellers were given a "tag" going in, and if it wasn't sold, had to be turned in to get out.

My co worker that bought the Ruger LCP, had to walk out with the receipt in his hand, and have it "checked" at the door when we left.

Inch by inch, ordinance by ordinance, chip, chip, chipping away.... >:(

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I just got back from the Ft Worth gun show. To say prices were high would be an understatement. It sounds like a repeat of Palm Beach.

TW, I think that's just life in PB - everything is more expensive over there. Besides, the denizens of PB still have cash, and some of them may be seeing the light. Let's say you had $10 million and lost half - you still have $5 mill left. If you only have $50k and lose half, you are left with only $25k, so life is tighter on that amount. So I think the folks in PB and Boyonton Beach and close by burbs have the cash and not the knowledge to pay $600 for a $350 Saiga.

I missed the local show the weekend after New Years - very poor advertising and although I had known about the show, the events of last year conspired to help me miss it. We have another show coming up in 2 weeks, and a 3rd show in Grand Forks the next weekend after that. I think I will try the sign on the back bit for my stuff. Too late to get a table next week I do believe.

We have 2 GS promoters in the area and it is hard to find something different from show to show.  Took forever for me to get a look at Glock 34 and 35 but a lot of the other new offerings are around.  Primers are still way high and scarce.  Powder is available but in 1# cans only (most of the time).  Once fired brass is plentiful at fairly reasonable prices.  Lead bullets are up some.  Factory ammo abounds and is coming down!  AR's are around with the Sportical under $700.  Others are down also.  Don't know much about AK's but they are around but seem a bit high.  Used guns are a bit high.  New gun prices vary but seem reasonable mostly!
