Super Nice Handgun Case !

I'm always looking for nice, useful gun cases. But the problem is most places just carry the zippered "gun rugs", and hard cases are somewhat limited, cheaply made, and overpriced. I came across this website and they have really nice Pelican type cases in just about every configuration you could possibly imagine. This 6 pistol gun case is what I'm talking about. It holds 6 handguns of varying size and barrel length, plus a dozen magazines to accommodate them. Not cheap, but when you figure what you would spend on 6 well made soft cases that don't offer as much protection, it's not too bad.

They also have cases for riot type, combat shotguns, full size AR-15's and M-4's in single, double, and multiple sizes. Some are the very large, expensive military type, but the more civilian type models aren't priced much over what I've seen at Cabela's that don't offer as much versatility. I think I'm going to get the "6 pack" handgun model. It would be super nice to take to the range. Everything in one case including spare magazines.  Bill T.

Me, I am a fan of the el cheapo plastic hard case with adequate padding. It will get me on the range, on an airline with padlocks, and cost about $30. I once bought a vey high dollar aluminum Americase. The thing was built like a bank vault, and weighed the same. Trouble is, some years later, the foam deteriorated and lost not only its cushioning ability, but totatlly stuck to the guns I stored in it. Out it went. Ditto for my fancy faux leather take down SxS shotgun case with combo lock. One trip through the airlines and no mas. Now, I will stik with my doskocils. Cheap, rugged and they just don't quit. I have two pushing twenty years and zero complaints. The only beef is they can be cut into. True, but that's going to happen AFTER the gun and case are stolen.

I've got several of the "cheapo" hard cases as well. Most every AR-15 manufacturer today except Colt supplies you with one when you buy the gun. The problem is there is nothing to prevent them from rattling around inside. That's not a problem with a single gun case, but some of these "double cases" they advertise can allow the guns to come into contact with one another. I also have a 3 gun Aluminum "Safari" case from Dee Zee. It's constructed of diamond plate Aluminum and has wheels. I use it to and from the range. It hold 3 long guns, and won't allow contact. But as you say it's really heavy. For handguns this one seems compact and light enough to be useful, and at the same time not be too bulky.  Bill T.

I am not sure if you can get these over there but they are a knock off pelican case. Cost is about 69.00 aus as opposed to 300 for a pelican.
They come with convoluted lid foam and in the bottom three layers of foam (1 convoluted and 2 pick and pluck)
They are very sturdy, water tight and have the atmospheric doo dah's that pelican do.
