It was an interesting piece. I too find it suspect that there were several failures on the XDm. Many things could cause it. I will admit that I'm biased. My XDm 9mm has had over 2000 rds through it without 1 FTF or FTE. It is a very accurate pistol from 7yds out to 25+yds. I do find that it is noticeably more accurate with a quality +P ammo which is my defensive carry round.
As for the Glock, the latest generation looks 100 times better. It is the standard bearer so it should always be reliable. I honestly think there is less than a hairs difference between the Glock, XDm, and M&P. It just depends on personal preference. I'd trust my life with any of them.
