You got it, brother......definitely on my list.

Done.
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Your request is all that is necessary.  Wish him our best which I am sure he already knows but it's nice to hear anyway!

Thank you all...if i'm spelling bad it's due to nearly 2 days on 2-1/2 hours sleep. I'm too old for this crap.

Thanks Haz- no good deed goes unpunished. Haz would have you believe that he's a dangerous guy...a renegade, etc. But teddy bear is more like it. I admire his heart and also his discretion. Thanks again, Haz.

Now a public service announcement. I have heard this story MANY times...don't fall for this. About ten days ago on the advice of our physician I took Maggie to the ER. Abdominal pain. They did this, did that, and after wearing us out sent us home with antibiotics and pain killers and the advice for her to visit the ob gyn. To give the story away...we did that stuff but ended up going back to the ER, but I have heard this same story from SEVERAL people from all over the country. DON'T fall for this shit if you have to go to ER. Camp out until they test and diagnose completely!

Perhaps the ONLY reason our story turns out good is because we lost my mother to this same thing...she went to er, sent home with no diagnosis and scripts. A week later she goes back in pain, they operate, they close her up and a week later she was gone. That kept nagging me in the back of the head, and it may be the only reason we have good news today. The ER is for patching giant gaping holes and for generating 3500 dollar bills with no doctoring involved.

Without belaboring the point, my lovely wife ended up sick as hell. Took her to ER for the second time in 10 days and they THEN realized they needed to operate. It was serious, major, and scary as hell. She's doing well even though she's really beat up, and should be good as new in 4 to 7 months. Serious stuff.   But the FIRST time she was there, it was antibiotics and some pain med. DO NOT fall for that crap! (Is there an echo in here?)

Bottom line...a little confession. I pray often and it's not a secret that things have not been the best for us lately. The fact is that lately some of my prayers have been basically asking the Lord if he wanted me to BEND OVER for the next kick in the ass, or did He want to surprise me? Well, He answered my smartass question by scaring the hell out of me. I can lose and/or live without a lot of things, but I almost lost the sweetest, most important thing I've ever known....the love of my life.
I'm way ahead of the game.
And with friends like you... I'll stop being a smart ass and let the Lord surprise me from here on out.
Thank you all for your prayers- she still needs them.  Now off to bed.
I got the blues as my companion.

JB, Maggie and you are on the list, I pray everyday, and my healing and comfort list is now over 50 people, 2 more is welcome. Hard to keep up with sometimes, but worth every second or minute. Your a strong guy, and I admire you. Stay strong, and thank God you stuck with it, and heard that little voice telling you to go back and get to the bottom of it. Been down this hard road, and still live with the consequences, but my wife is still alive and has a life, limited to some degree, but she is happy, hate to think of what happens if I pass before her, but I'm trying, to leave enough behind for her to continue.

So glad to hear that Maggie is going to recover.

You really hit a big nail with a big hammer with the bottom line part of your post, too....I know where you're coming from.

I will continue to pray for you and Maggie (as I do for all my DRTV family).

All the best,

Peg

Thanks for the update and openness!  We all need to be reminded that it is not all our version of wine and roses.

Glad to hear that things are moving in a positive direction, and we will continue to pray for everything you need ... except patience - I'm sure you've heard the stories of people that prayed for patience  ;)

Take care and know we are all here for you two!
