I have in fact considered this scenario.
Even in shops that ban weapons, working in machine shops provides plenty of cover behind large steel machines and weapons of opportunity in the form of stock, parts, and tools.

something I have always been concerned about


we also get some heated clients comeing in with a full head of steam as there puter was not working and they don't have a "Backup option"  and we cop 110% of it   


another thing is I do a lot of onsite work where I am going out to peoples places / homes / offices  and it is always on my own   only a couple of times when I have been real worried  and those times made sure had a little protection and a quick way out. 


PS  can not wait for the DVD so I can see it with how you deal with it

when you have in your code of conduct  for employment

Not create or contribute to the creation of a physically hazardous situation at work. In addition, Team members should never carry or have in their possession explosives, guns or weapons of any kind on company premises or property;

Especially violent at times for retail security. You have to deal with co-workers/managers and the public.
