Speaking of venison, we had a freezer in my parents storage room quit last week.... and over half of it's contents was venison. Lost it all............I was sick, sick, sick.

Good Idea wolfgang, I have long thought of putting a base in my pickup bed, for a box and pipe to sit on, get me 10 - 12' in the air anyway. I think i would paint the burlap black on the inside to prevent your shadow from showing. ;D

Only hunted deer here in Colorado and have never used a blind or tree stand.  :o

 Most of all the shots around here are within a hundred yards or so. Here are a couple of Google pictures of my place.  I’ve got thirty acres total and it is mostly wooded.  The field I just acquired from my cousin.
