Folks, outside of the sun and fishing, one of the perks of living in the Sunshine State is that you know its election season when you have to hose the blood splatters off your TV set. Me, I think Crist is a good manager, but I really hate his education policy and think he will vote whichever way the polls point. Rubio? The guy is a joke, whole lot of hat, and no cattle. The Dems, well, the less said the better. Lawton Chiles was the last one that was worth a damn. Still, This video from Fox's Greta Van Sustern is worth a watch. Forget reading the transcript. You have to watch it. The Chicago way? Those pussies? Come to Florida if you want hardball. ;D ::)

Lawton Chiles was a very progressive/liberal governor and U.S. senator. I can not think of anything he did that is really noteworthy. And he certainly wasn't for our gun rights either....As for Crist, he's an Obama chest-bumping weasel.....

Crist is getting desperate, as his poll numbers keep falling. Trying to please all the people all the time, will not fly this time. The BHO hug resonates deep in the Crist world, he has had several key staff members quit.

The term RINO comes to mind.....NO INCUMBENTS!!!!, RESET THE GAME CLOCK!!!!

He wants to "adjust" the shortfall of the FL budget, on money he "might be able to negotiate" with the Seminole Tribes, and another Federal Stimulus handout, that hasn;t happened yet.

Now he's just bitc*** about his opponent. To quote a famous song, "Same As It Ever Was".......
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Look, I knew Lawton. He was friend of the family. Hell, he sent me birthday cards when I was a kid. The thing about Lawton was that he was like that governor in Carl Hiassen's books. He was an old school, pro-Florida, anti-development blue dog dem. You might not agree with every thing he did, but he was someone you could trust (if he said he was going to screw you over, he would ;)), and wasn't afraid to lose an election over principle. Right or wrong, that's a rare trait these days. He was the last governor who thought Fl. was still a southern state. As Opperator said in an earlier post, sometimes liberals come around to Constitutional principles. 7 times out of 10, the He Coon was one of them which is better than most folks (Dem or GOP) can say.
Crist? As I say, he's a good manager. What does he stand for? Let me check with a focus group. Rubio? He and the rest of the Miami Relatives can KMA. He has a lot of ideology, but precious little accomplishment, either personal or political to show for it. As far as the Dems? Hell will freeze over before I vote for Meek.

In Boston politics people can wind up dead  ;D
It's interesting to speculate (to yourself ) when you hear about the Mayors Personal Aide was found shot to death in his car in some back street.  ???
Usually they turn up in Chelsea or on (or under ) Revere Beach.
Reminds me of the days of Billy Bulger  ;D
