I once wrote a piece for the WALL STREET JOURNAL on this very topic after W was elected...at least we got a sunsetting of the AWB!

My list would be similar to several others on this Forum:

• National reciprocity of concealed carry (although, ideally, permitless carry of any sort)
• Recognition of open carry, including in national parks
• Preemption laws limiting cities and counties opting out of concealed/open carry
• Deregulation of suppressors, SBS and SBR — it should not be a federal felony for your rifle to be 1/64th inch too short!
• Castle doctrine nationwide
• No civil liability for legitimate self-defense shooting (currently part of Colorado's "Make My Day" law for home self-defense shootings)
• Nationwide FOPA travel, including airports
• Firearms safety training in schools (and an end to the ridiculous "zero tolerance" rules that get children suspended for drawing a picture of a gun!)
• 50% of firearms excise tax dedicated to range creation and sport shooting...taxation without representation is still tyranny
• Mandatory training for LEOs on firearms laws

Also, the NRA shoudl do what the NRA can do, but we have let the NRA and NSSF set the agendas for FAR TOO LONG, and they have not done a great job of it. If the people lead, the leaders will follow...

That is a big one.  After the safety training, get marksmanship training, gunsmith training in the Voc Ed programs.  Sponsors for shooting teams.

I remember when I was 16 walking back from rabbit hunting with my buddy our shotguns over our shoulders, his single shot broken open, my bolt action with the bolt open.  Folks would ask us how we did as we walked through the  neighborhood.
