silenced Ruger mark II Question
« on: March 13, 2010, 10:59:13 PM »
I Have a Ruger mark II that has a silencer on it and i like to hike in the woods with a gun and this is the perfect gun to just have and mess around with but cant i find any way to holster it.
i found a fabric shoulder holster online but that's just not ME!!.
Iam looking for like a leg holster or even like a chest rig. would love to have one in leather.
I was just wondering how  the navy seals carry there silenced handguns surely they don't screw it on and off when they have to use it
i would think they have designed some sort of rig to carry there gun in with the silencer on it.
the overall length is 12" just in case you were wondering the size of it!!
I would love to hear any ideas or if you have seen anything.
there is a local holster maker in town and i may have to see him to find what iam looking for, but just didn't want to spend 200-300.00 on it
Any Ideas?

Hello willzp, welcome to DRTV, post a pic if you can, we love that stuff.  There is a member that does leather holsters, someone will post the link as I am forgetting right now, and could be an option for a custom holster.

P.S. did I mention a picture?

Wow.  Cool pic.  (I want one.)

Couldn't put that "suppressor" on a longer barrel could you?

You might look at holsters intended for T/C Contenders or other long barrel single shot handguns.

Your barrel is too long to be practical with a can.

Try a Tactical Solutions or threaded 4" upper receiver and any of the nylon adjustable rigs with a pocket for the can.

Welcome willzip, nice gun and nice avatar!

Try contacting forum member Frisco, he has made holsters before, he may be willing to make you one for a good price?

Hey Thanks For all the help
I actual have a couple other guns with silencers but this one shoots the best and cycles the light loads better so it's a little more reliable on the ejection side. But it is a very long gun to have to find a way to holster.
Also i never even thought of a Thompson contender so I did some looking and found a very cool leather holster I think will work for $50.00

Thanks for all the HELP
