I was a former HD fanatic in NC, all it cost me was more money. Yes there is a difference, but most network television sucks, and doesn't need, or isn't worth watching in HD.
I just stick to the HD stuff for watching DVD's. I have a HDTV, but just have standard DirectTV, than have a Blu-Ray DVD player which is great.
I have the surround audiophile super system, which scares my neighbors when I play movies with lots of gunfire...

But I'm getting to old to keep wanting the latest greatest pre-amp, line conditioning, cross-over, isolating sub-woofer, crap, with peripheral interfacing.
Give me my damn Peter Frampton,
album (yes those big black spinning things), on my perfectly good Kenwood Turntable, and open a cold one...
Still have two Peach Crates full of albums, in mint condition. (Sad,,...

,,,but still jammin'''"
