The General is absolutely right.  However, with this administration in power, we're no longer even allowed to USE the "T-Word".

I weep for this nation.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

Bravo, General. When does this man announce he's running for President? He's got my vote.

Sounds like an intelligent man....spot-on.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

Rarely do I agree with Boykin, here I do. Too bad he didn't understand that an officer, particularly, can't/shouldn't give political and religious speeches in unform. Say what you want, just put on a suit and tie and be introduced as Mr. Boykin. Not a hard thing to do.

Is anybody surprised by this?  This part is a little surprising, although the caveat that follows pretty much counters that portion of the statement.
Our Constitution provides freedom OF religion...Not freedom FROM religion. If the General called a manditory meeting and delivered a sermon, THAT'S over the line.  For him to wear his work clothes and talk about what he believes to people who want to hear what he has to say IS NOT over the line.

Having an Islamofascist shrink counseling returning soldiers is so far over the line it is beyond analogy.
“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

Agreed on the last part. The guy should have booted not for his statements alone, but his associations alone. Hanging in juhadi web sites was reason enough and no 1A hangups. As far asBoykin, the problem is that when an fficer speaks in uniform (particularly a general) people could think they're making policy or representing policy. Hence the taking the uniform off to make it clear its just your POV.
