Bye Bye Miss American Pie
« on: March 21, 2010, 10:13:04 PM »
219-212, against the majority opinion of this country, was jammed down our throats,.... back room deals, lies, bribes, arm twisting, low approval numbers,....doesn't matter anymore....... It's what BHO, Pelosi, and Reid, and the greedy self serving bastards that caved to the "pressure" from within their party.

The tyranny, yes I said it, tyranny, of what this Representative Republic, has morphed into, is coming to fruition. Folks like FQ were worried about Bush???

Please.......what happened tonight sets precedent for far worse.

Ben Franklin, was asked "What have you given us?" He replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it." It seems we could not....At least with traditional means, but there is that Jeffersonian Tree reference.....

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

At the risk of sounding like a wacko from the appalachians I think it's time Jefferson got shoved down the throats of every single one of those ********* **** ********* that voted for this. This is why the 2nd was written... to deal with those that threaten the other 9.

$400 billion in increased taxes!

$200 billion to penalize successful doing well  >:(

Another $200 billion on the rest of us  >:(

I'll bet this will make us remember the days of double digit inflation in the medial industry as the "good old days."  :'(

In case it isn't clear, my critters shafted me again  >:(  Good old Mr. Walz hasn't missed a chance to stick to me yet  >:(

It ain't over and the fat lady has yet to warm up her pipes. The Senate can kill this thing by a point of parlimenterary procedure since the House changed the bill. This will send it back to the House for another vote. Not a done deal, but if I were you I would stop bitching and start calling my Senator. It will be done by Tuesday at the latest. Now is the time to act. This can still be stopped, but only by an unelected official.
FQ13 who is pissed about this whole thing. Pissed about healthcare that wasn't what was on offer in the election, pissed at Dem tactics in passing it, and pissed that the fate of a large chunk of the American economy now lies in the hands of the Senate Parlimentarian! WTF? I'll pay $100 to anyone who can name him without looking it up. Yet, he decides whether this whole thing goes through. His name is Alan Frumin (yes I looked him up)  and his call on whether the House bill is out of order or not will probably tell the tale. This is one for future lectures on how weird American politics can get, but now I'm just pissed. >:(

so

will that be enough to nail them at the next election

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Truly a sad day for the Republic....
(Rant Mode On)

I work for a hospital that is getting bent over - dry by Medicaid patients (already almost 35 percent of our patients) and getting reimbursed only 38 percent.... We have had to raise our rates to everyone else 3 times in the past 2 years to make up for the shortfall... They had to raise MY ER deductable 400% so these drug seeking mongrels can come beg for vicodin and percoset for their baby daddy's to sell to kids on the street..... It is criminal to expand this program.... THEY PAY NOTHING!

I am truly scared for my job once this goes into effect...

Just remember 37 states are line up to challenge this monstrosity in court as soon as the usurper in the White House signs it into law. Seems that Florida's Bill McCollum is leading the charge.

I feel helpless.  In the local picture, my Congressional Rep and my Senators are firmly against this bill.  While I send them reminders to keep up the good fight, my letter writing is just preaching to the choir.  On the bigger picture I watch all this unfold and feel so sad for what my grandchildren will inherit.
