I would tend to agree with you that people will forget about this before November if I thought this was going to be the end of the political shenanigans.  I believe that this vote was the beginning rather than the end.  I fear they are now embolden by this constitutional crisis they have begun.  Remember, there is still immigration/amnesty, cap and tax, and who knows what else they will try.
