Tried my hand at holstermaking.....
« on: March 23, 2010, 05:21:12 AM »
Here's my first attempt at making an inside waistband holster.... It was pretty fun actually, and super comfortable. Hides the big XDM pretty well too. Keeps the natives from getting jumpy.

Looks like a nice job, especially for a first-timer. Congrats!

Nice try! Nothing like diving into  something and getting it right. Can we get a photo of it in place to see how it looks on the belt? I'd be interested to see what shows.

That one is a Crossbreed clone if you want one for yourself... I modified the design to make the grip angle adjustable to tuck it in more or less for speed or concealment as I wish...

The Glock holster is more conventional, but still has a couple of neato features..... To be continued......

There exists a law, not written down anywhere but inborn in our hearts; a law which comes to us not by training or custom or reading but by derivation and absorption and adoption from nature itself; a law which has come to us not from theory but from practice, not by instruction but by natural intuition. I refer to the law which lays it down that, if our lives are endangered by plots or violence or armed robbers or enemies, any and every method of protecting ourselves is morally right.

Here's a pic of the outside waistband lefty convertable model.... You can take the screws out and reposition it in either FBI cant for three o'clock carry or pancake carry at 5 or 6 o'clock....

Nice work.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo
