Seems his Local supporters also threw eggs at the RV's and Tea Party Express Buses and threatened,...........you guessed it,......

Violence,,,

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304370304575151830740900748.html?mod=WSJ_latestheadlines

Andrew Breitbart, the conservative Internet entrepreneur who was one of several speakers at the rally, says the crowd was large enough that it raised the ire of local Reid supporters. He noticed one man holding a sign directing Tea Parties in the wrong direction. When Mr. Breitbart approached to chat with the Reid supporters, he saw several throwing eggs at the Tea Party Express buses. The protesters, he says, quickly surrounded him, including one who declared: "I'm going to have to go to jail today if this guy [Breitbart] doesn't leave."

"It's unsettling to see them use threats and provocation like this," he told me. He was especially peeved at what he witnessed given what he said were the unconfirmed accusations hurled at Tea Party protestors last week in Washington, including that some had used ugly and violent language against members of the Congressional Black Caucus. On stage at the Searchlight event, Mr. Breitbart offered to donate $100,000 to charity if anyone could provide video evidence that racial epithets were used against CBC members. Mr. Breitbart says he suspects the accusations were just a cynical attempt by the left and elements of the media to "marginalize" the Tea Party movement.

Real Class Act, I don't care if Reid is pro gun or not, he is an arrogant scumbag Liberal. Who would gladly relegate you to a 22 and a 12 guage, ban and confiscate everything else, or make you have a Federal Psych Eval to own a firearm, and throw the NRA under the bus. He's got to go.....

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

The NRA should be supporting Reid, and every other pro gun incumbent regardless of party. I don't pay them to do anything else. Vote right on guns, get NRA support. As far as healthcare, well we will make up our own minds, but its not what the NRA is paid  to lobby for. I want any single issue group I fund to focus on that single issue.

I'm not a one issue voter.  I will cut a politician with a good NRA rating a break.  However, I will not give someone a pass on their whole record just because they get a good NRA rating.  It is too easy to have a bad politician manipulate their votes to get a good NRA rating and game the system.  Example, last fall when the State reciprocity for carry permits law was defeated by just a couple of votes.  Once the measure failed it gave cover for a lot of politicians to vote in favor of an already defeated measure.

WatchMan, You need to make yourself a New Years resolution - I already broke mine. ;D

Quaker(D) is just trying to pick a fight.... Yes, The NRA is an organization that focuses on one topic.... No, its not their job to help weed out the RINOs (or in this caser the Loony Liberals that only pay the 2nd amend attention for job security). But thats NOT the issue here. Why even throw it into the mix ??? I have not seen or heard anything from the NRA trying to get Reid re-elected. Its Reid who is trying to drum up the gun owner vote, but thats like Barney Frank trying to win the Evangelical vote.

The bottom line here is that Harry Reid is a danger to our freedoms.... ALL OF THEM. And for that reason, he needs to go.

I agree with Eric and Watchman, in that if I lived in NV, I would not be voting for Reid. His shameless bribery on Health Care was reason enough. My point is simply that I think the NRA, and similar groups should stck to their issue. We can figure the rest of it out. I appreciate his opposition to an AWB, but, his porkapalooza was enough to make even K Street jaws drop.

I support the GOA and The JPFO, ande the SAF.  The NRA parties too much with the usurpers.

That's what I want to know. Reid went shooting. Was anyone else allowed to be there with loaded weapons while this was going on? Or was the secret service keeping all the other shooters unarmed?

As the Tea Party Express rolled into Searchlight on Saturday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wasn’t home. Instead, he spent his morning at the grand opening of the Clark County Shooting Park, firing a shotgun at one of the facility’s new ranges.

“Everyone has said this is the greatest park in the United States of America, but I say it’s the greatest gun park in the world,” Reid said.

Reid helped to secure land and $61 million for the 2,900-acre facility under the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act. He was joined at the ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday by National Rifle Association of America Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, Rep. Shelley Berkley, Rep. Dina Titus, state Sen. John Jay Lee and Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins.

Reid practiced shooting at one of the ranges, firing six rounds from a 12-gauge shotgun and hitting two clay birds. Each clay bird busted into pieces and the crowd cheered as Reid reloaded the gun. Collins also fired several rounds.

Shooting at the park, on the northern edge of the valley, costs $7 per day for rifles, pistols and archery and $6 per 25-bird round for shotguns.

It has an archery range and building with a 30-seat classroom, a rifle and pistol range, and a shotgun center and 80 spaces for recreational vehicles.

LaPierre said the park is expected to be a tourist attraction with 35,000 to 40,000 people expected to participate in shooting activities each year.

“I know how you worked,” LaPierre said to Reid before turning back to the audience. “(This) would not have opened without the work of Sen. Reid.”
[/b]
Since the park first opened on weekends in January, Lee said more than 4,000 shooters have participated – which he called a significant amount considering the range hasn’t been advertising.

The park will also be used for educational purposes, Collins said. Many youth groups have visited the park to learn about shooting sports and gun safety, he said.

Michael Reese, 15, said he has been shooting for seven years and visits the park every other weekend with his father. It’s become a tradition for the two of them, he said.

“It’s a very nice facility,” Reese said.
