I'm coming in a bit late today with my Happy Easter to all. But I have a good excuse - my almost-4-year old granddaughter.
First thing this morning, it was "discover the Easter basket". Then get dressed (her in a brand new bright yellow dress bought for the occasion) and off to breakfast at a restaurant near the church. Then an absolutely beautiful, moving and exceptional service. Back home, get changed, then collect all of the brightly colored goodies the Easter Bunny had left us her in the yard. Open the plastic ones and collect about 40 pounds of candy into a plastic zip-log. Then watch as she plays with the new Barbie doll, and all of her new farm animal friends (little plastic ones - I live in town so no real ones).
Gorgeous day, so it was back outside and play kickity-kick ball (soccer) - until a spill that abraded her hands ended the game.
It was a spectacular day, made most memorable by having her on my lap through services. As was done with Christmas, I patiently explained that this day was all about when the baby Jesus was all grown up, and gave us the most wonderful gift of salvation.
Easter blessings to all my friends and family here, now and through the entire year. There is nothing that God can't do, and prayer is the way to His heart.
