Be recognized in Charlotte NC
« on: April 08, 2010, 08:09:44 PM »
Some of us who are going to the NRA annual meeting were talking about something us DRTV'ers could wear and recognize each other from a distance. I am thinking about hats, 1 size fits all, and on top of your head, easier to see in a crowd. My sister can do this type of thing, + hats are cheaper than shirts.

If you like the idea, then what combo would be good, she can do the SG Duck with target on it, with Michael's permission of course, and we could just stop there, or put Shooting Gallery beneath it, or say a S one side and G on the other.

What background color or pattern would be good with a big yellow duck on the front. I know from experience, real tree type patterns will be every where.

Talk amongst your selves and let me know if this going in the right direction.

Of course these could be shipped to almost all of you. Sorry PhilW, but if you show up, I'll bring you one.

M25 out.

Somehow, someway, those who can make it, need a time or place or cell phone #'s. Something....

I'll charm my way to the Intercom,....(yes my old home town still has friends in "low places" ,......)

m25, you got a hat idea? put me down for 2.

Or I'll be at the S&W booth, pulling my accomplice away from the new Bodyguard .380.... ::)

Can't wait...

Not gonna make it to Charlotte this time, but I'll spring for 2 hats if we do get something together.

Might be nice to recognize each other all the time....and maybe do some advertising for DRTV

I will be there. But, I am hat wearing impaired after so many years in the Army. I don't wear hats indoors, unless under arms. ;)

I would guess that the 3 Ms will be there somewhere. Maybe we could hook up at some point. Some of us did so at Louisville.

While I go to the convention to see the guns and gear, it would be nice to see you there. Tom are you going?

Carry a good knife.  If you don't feel you are under arms with that, you don't watch enough Michael Janich  :D :D

Solus,
Knives do not qualify as "under arms", probably because everyone is assumed to carry one, swords do qualify though. But I would hate to bring a knife to a gun fight.
I don't expect to be under arms at the NRA Convention, but I bet there are many who are going to be.

The Charlotte Convention Center is a "gun free" facility.

Ironic?

The Charlotte Convention Center is a "gun free" facility.

Ironic?

This was covered on another post, but the parent company of the CCC, is the City. Ergo, it's city property, ergo, gov't property, ergo, No CCW..

Also any bldg, that posts "NO Firearms Beyond This Point" or "No Guns Allowed", whatever it is, also becomes a "gun free" facility.

Not something I want to "push" the envelope on, considering the consequences. Hell, they might even have metal detectors, or the "magic wands" there, I don't know how extensive security will be. We're they at the last one?

That's how it is NC. Your mileage may vary,... ;)
