Any Coverage of The March Today???
« on: April 19, 2010, 11:05:01 AM »
I'm at the desk today with the TV going.  I grab the remote while waiting on hold and channel surf a lot.

Is anyone aware of any coverage of the Virginia event today?  I can't find it  >:(

If you can't find TV coverage that can mean only one thing......a LARGE turnout.  If it was a small gathering they'd be leading with it.
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

I've caught a blip hear and a blurb there, but no more than a fifteen to thirty second bit.  A sad note is that apparently this is all about us worshiping Timothy McVeigh, and I have heard nothing about some obscure event in 1775  :'(

On a good note, as tt said - this could be a reaction to a large group; and even better - no news means no violence, routiness, and no issues.  Overall I'm leaning toward this being neutral to good for us.

Hopefully Mr. Bane will give us an update soon.

MB has barely twittered (tweeted?) today. The last tweet (twitt?) was about heading to a bar an hour ago.

One of those times when the silence is deafening.  We shall see what shows up in the coming days when they have time to think it over and spin it.  It is all about the spin..

Of course the huffington post said "militias" were storming into the National Mall,  >:(

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

A blip from our friends over at MSNBC.

FTA:
Quote
Signs reading "Which part of 'shall not be infringed' confuses you?" and bright orange stickers saying "Guns save lives" dotted the crowd at the Washington Monument. Across the Potomac River in Alexandria, former Alabama Minutemen leader Mike Vanderboegh told the crowd armed confrontation should be reserved only for instances of the government threatening people's lives. However, he said it might be justified if people face arrest for refusing to buy insurance under the health care reform package recently passed by Congress.
"If I know I'm not going to get a fair trial in federal court ... I at least have the right to an unfair gunfight," Vanderboegh said.

I like that quote.
"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison
