Starbucks Same Store Sales Up 7% in Defiance of Brady Campaign Attacks

Article by Don Earl
(1 Day Ago) in Society / Guns

For months the Brady Campaign has engaged in a relentless attack against Starbucks. The reason? Starbucks refused to cave in to the Brady Campaign demand that Starbucks violate the civil rights of law abiding citizens.
At the height of the worst Depression since the 1930s, with unemployment at 17.9% (when all categories of unemployment are included), in a business driven solely by discretionary consumer spending, Starbucks stellar results for the quarter say a lot about its ethics and business practices. In standing up for its customers' Constitutional right to keep and bear arms, its customers stood up for Starbucks privilege to stay in business.

Far from buying into the Brady Campaign's hysterical fear mongering, Starbucks customers know both their persons and rights are safe when patronizing Starbucks. Voted one of America's most ethical businesses for the 4th year in a row, it's no wonder Starbucks management easily recognized a wrong answer when they saw one.

Always believed that friends don't let friends drink Starbuck's coffee.  Now, I may have to go in a buy a cuppa overpriced brew just to support and celebrate their wisdom. ;)
“I’ve lived the literal meaning of the ‘land of the free’ and ‘home of the brave.’ It’s not corny for me. I feel it in my heart. I feel it in my chest. Even at a ball game, when someone talks during the anthem or doesn’t take off his hat, it pisses me off. I’m not one to be quiet about it, either.”  Chris Kyle

I was reading the article and thinking the same as you two, but I added one thing - A card that says thank you for taking this stand to be handed over with the cash!

Too bad FL. doesn't have an open carry law like NC does. :-\

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Up until now I have refused to pay $4.50 for a cup of coffie. But I have now broken that rule to help support a company that just wants to allow the existing law to be enforced.

BTW here in Kentucky I have hever heard of any coffie shop to post against ccw. (or in our case ccDw)

It is nice to live in a gun owner friendly state. ;D

I too typically don't waste money at Starbucks.    In fact I just gave away $20 in gift cards I had accumulated to a co-worker.  But now I feel the need to patronize them and to encourage my friends to do so.  AS well as send them a card/email thanking them for their stand.

Just took two short road trips in the last 30 days and try as we might, I could find an Starbucks along the interstates.    It would help if they'd get some signage on those interstate signs.

NH, unrestricted OC , $10, Shall Issue, no training, test, or fingerprint CCW (may be $20 now, I'll find out in Jan   ::)  )
No permit to buy, no waiting, preemption, and Constitutional Gun rights, limited only by Federal rules.
And I don't know where Fla. came up with this "First in the Nation" stuff, my Dad had a NH concealed Carry permit in 1974.
Heck, We don't even pay a sales tax.    ;D

KY, OC guaranteed by state constitution (Section 7)( Holland vs. Ky). Machine gun friendly, $60.00 permit good for 5 years, ($12.00 per year).  Reciprocity with 33 other states. Concealed Deadly weapon permit, allows for carry of switchblade if you wish. No finger printing. Carry allowed in restaurant that serves booze as long as you are not drinking. No NICS Check when buying firearms.
